Pepe made sure we scored today! I surf most days back home but know nothing about the spots in Puerta Vallarta so I chose to hire PV Surfing to guide me to find the best waves since there was supposed to be decent swell today.
Pepe obviously knew all the spots. We checked a couple that were walled and the 3rd spot we checked had some super clean rights with only a few guys out. We surfed until I was exhausted, probably caught 20+ waves, some pushing well overhead. One of the best days surfing I’ve had in awhile.
Even if you’re an experienced surfer, you will catch way more waves going out with a guide. None of the spots we checked were on Surfline. Avoid the crowds and catch more waves by hiring a local.
